TWILIGHT

A review by Alba Bonet Yllera

Twilight is a breathtaking, charming novel, written by Stephenie Meyer, an amazing American writer, more than ten years ago. It’s the first book in a saga, which has the same name as its first book: Twilight. Moreover, it’s a vampire-themed saga, even though it’s also a combination of fantasy and romance. In addition, the series has a total of four books. The first one, is Twilight, the second one, New Moon, the third one, Eclipse and, the last one, is Breaking Dawn. Nevertheless, its author also wrote a very last book, which tells the whole story of the previous four books, from the point of view of another character, the boy.

The setting is a small town, called Forks, Washington, USA. Firstly, the main character, “Bella” Swan, has to move from Phoenix, Arizona, where she used to live with her mother, to this aforementioned town. Her parents are divorced and, Forks, is the town where her father lives and the place where she used to go on holiday when she was a child. She decides to move in with her father since her mom is marrying another man and she thinks that they are going to be better with her living with her dad, Charlie Swan. In this town, she meets a boy, called Edward Cullen, who is her Biology classmate. He always acts really strange. Later, she will find out about his incredible story and won’t be able to avoid all the things that will happen.

In my opinion, this is an incredible, poignant and brilliant book, which is also beautifully written. It takes you to a different world while you read it, and it makes you feel things that you would never imagine. I highly recommend it to everyone, since I think it will change the way you see love. If you read it, you might feel like moving to Forks.
